
NWA 7504 - L6 Chondrite Meteorite - 2.82g Part Slice
This is a nice part slice of NWA 7504, a highly altered L6 chondrite. A single stone weighing 1.68kg was obtained and classified by A. Irving and S. Kuehner, of UWS. This is a Natural History Lab exclusive meteorite.
Specimen is encapsulated for safe handling and enjoyment with a beautiful custom background specific to this piece. Case measures approx. 2" x 3" in size.

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6)
Petrography: Mostly recrystallized with very sparse, medium-sized chondrules. Olivine, orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene, sodic plagioclase, chromite, altered kamacite and troilite.
Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa25.0-25.6), orthopyroxene (Fs20.7-21.1Wo1.6-1.4), clinopyroxene (Fs7.0-8.6Wo45.9-44.0).
Classification: Ordinary chondrite (L6).
